PM Says Singapore Controls Pantai Hospitals

A Kadir Jasin

A WEEK after denying in a TV3 interview that no Malaysian company is being controlled by a foreign company, the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, was forced to acknowledge that private hospital operator, Pantai Holdings Bhd is now controlled by Singapore-based Parkway Holdings Ltd.

The admission came amidst reports in The Star, the Internet newspapers and blogs that Pantai Holdings, together with its two privatized components – Fomema and Pantai Medivest – had effectively fallen into Parkway’s hand.

Bernama, on Aug. 13 quoted the Prime Minister as saying in Kepala Batas that the government was studying the necessary action to be taken pertaining to the disposal of a 31-per cent stake in the company to Parkway.

He said the matter was being looked into by the Treasury after realising that it had become a problem as it was related to the concession for the supply of hospital requirements.

(The Bernama report did not mention the PM saying anything about foreign workers' medical examination and monitoring privatised to Fomema).

"The share sale has become a problem, as it involves several matters related to the concession given to Pantai Holdings, that is a contract to supply hospital requirements," he told reporters.

Having overlooked the problem when approving the sale just over half a year ago, is the Treasury a competent authority to look into the matter now?

How could the Treasury, together with its agencies and affiliates like Securities Commission, Bursa Malaysia, Foreign Issue Committee (FIC) and, possibly, Bank Negara overlook the problem in the very first place?

Even during the interview (conducted by the non-journalist Bernama chairman, Datuk Annuar Zaini, who is a close associate of the PM), Abdullah was not cautioned on the Pantai Holdings issue, resulting in him declaring that “there is no Malaysian company that is controlled by a foreign company.”

This latest development will not help convince the people that the Government is on top of things, especially after so many sweeping statements Abdullah made during the Aug. 7 interview are proving to be inaccurate.

When one leaves the decisions to the 'so called advisers' who have personal interest, this is bound to happen, one big mess after another. Where is the credibilty of our PM. He defended Khairy on the ECB Libra share purchase. It is now emerging as to the true identity of the Co. vis a vis its Parkway Holdings and Zionist link. He claimed that his son's companies are only involved in foreign projects when the following night after the interview, the same TV channel admitted that Scomi was part of the consortium that get the contract to provide the monorail project in Penang. On top of that he dares to call other people 'iblis' and 'fitnah'. It is pathetic.
I weep for the country. The image of the country, once built to a high pedestal, is irreparibly damaged. We need a change in leadership before it gets into a worse quadmire

Dear Merdeitis,

Regarding your statement- “We should not mix business with public welfare. Petronas is a commercial entity which is supposed to compete with other oil and gas company, by asking them to subsidize our oil, we will be making them unnecessarily uncompetitive.”

I beg to disagree on this. I don't see the reason why we should not let the Petronas to subsidize the increase in petrol. For e.g. in Norway, the country’s oil company is channelling most of the surplus in profit into the public pension fund and also into other government programmes.

Petronas is being build as part of the initiative to boost the government revenue etc. Some of the money that Petronas made would eventually siphon back into the government coffers and some will be used for its future project. Whatever it is, most and foremost the government has the responsibility to maintain a stable monetary policy meaning that they have the duty to maintain low and stable inflation. Even nowadays, in most countries through the world their main economic objective is to ensure that the inflation rate is maintained as low as possible. Not surprisingly currently Malaysia is experiencing a relatively high interest rate is because the Bank Negara need to ensure that the inflation rate doesn’t spiral up. So how did PM decided to let the price of petrol to escalate is probably based from his own wisdom or the advise from his “non-economic background” advisers. I am sure, if he were to sort advice from our Central Bank Governor, she would go against the recommendation to let the price of petrol to simply increase

Saudara Daud Eb,

I'll not be posting your comment. I think the way to do it is to point our readers to that article by Guna or to give the link to his site or his newspaper. I, however, agree with Guna that the viability of the proposed KL-S'pre bullet train is questionable.

Private Financing Initiative is actually Abdullah's variation of Privatisation's build, operate and transfer.

As for Lubok Melayu, I am sorry I am unable to post his comment because there are elements of libel and name-calling.

But I took note of his comments concerning the role of people like Khairy, Kalimullah Hassan, Vincent Lim, Tan Sri Noor Yaacop, Brendan Pereira, Kamal Khalid and other personnal officers of the PM.

Yes, I agree with Lubok Malayu that they're influential but I will not dare stand by those things you say about them.

Thank you Arshad for responding accurately to Merdeitis. We are not flogging Petronas. We acknowledge it's role as the national oil company.

But Petronas pays taxes and dividends to the Government. Higher crude oil prices means Petronas pays more taxes and dividends to the Government.

The Government should use the higher taxation and devidend incomes from Petronas for the benefit of the people, including by giving them subsidy when necessary.

As for the Pantai Holdings fiasco and allegations that the Singapore-controlled company would play major role in future Johor development, I agree entirely with Cucutun that we should not sideline KPJ.

For Cucutun's info, KPJ had once bid for Pantai Holdings but "was played out". I think KPJ sued the the vendors.

This may and may not be the case of "kera di hutan disusukan, anak di rumah mati kelaparan."

But if we are not mindful, the kera can come into our house and steal the susu we bought for our anak.

Terima Kasih.

Sometimes when you are so busy defending yourself, you close your mind to information. Some ppl call it "Kena sergah terus melatah" reaction.

Why couldn't he check all the relevant facts before saying anything? Why does he see his former boss as an enemy instead of a concerned mentor? Both of them are in the same political party.

Ego, the reason for downfall of man.

Strange, I was thought to listen even in anger during Kem Bina Negara years ago. To contain my defensive anger and to listen to the person I am adversarial to and check for valid points. Because you cannot defend your position when you are blind to fallacies.

Maybe we should send all the menteri to a special Kem Bina Negara?

Pak Lah memungkiri janji, Pak Lah dan anak menantunya, Pak Lah 'diperguna', Pak Lah nak 'play safe, Pak Lah tak jawab-jawab persoalan.

Tun Musa Hitam kata Pak Lah 'elegant silence, tapi saya kata Pak Lah tak jawab sama ada kerana dia kurang tau atau tak tau apa-apa. Masa dulu-dulu orang tua kita selalu kata kalu tak tau apa-apa baik diam, jangan nak tunjuk pandai, nanti kita akan nampak lebih bodoh.

Kalu macam tu semua orang boleh jadi perdana menterilah.

Assalamualaikum w.t.b
Dato'
Kalau tak silap saya yg tak pernah beli saham nie, kelulusan daripada Kerajaan/SC/Bank Negara diperlukan sekiranya more than 30% saham hendak dibeli samada oleh org malaysia or otherwise. Seperti mana cubaan utk membeli Time.com oleh Singtel dulu. Ataupon ada loop hole in rule/procedure ataupon heavy work load sampai tak perasan. In other word...With permission - "Makan gaji buta".
Additionally, most people bercerita tentang Pantai Holding telah jatuh ketangan org asing...samada dikedai kopi dikampong atau dikedai mamak yg ada aircond. Kanapa still org yg sepatutnya lebih tahu pulak tak tahu lebih awal? Better jadikan advisor dari kalangan observer yg ada dikedai kopi kat kampong kerana org kampong sekarang dah celik IT & convincing. Recent interview(@TV3) can't even bit them. Jauh sekali to bit penjual ubat & jamu dikaki lima yg lebih convincing walaupon most of their ubat cannot be trusted 100%.

Dear Budakboy, I am not posting your latest comment. You may disagree with Call Me Dumb, but we're not going to brand anybody racist nor will we label those who sell Malaysian assets he or she owns to foreigners as a greedy person or, worse still, a traitor.

Cross border buying and selling of assets are allowed by our law. We buy foreign assets as well.

But you are right. The block of Pantai Holdings' shares in question was initially held by Mokhzani Mahathir.

Four years ago, Mokhzani sold this block to Lim Tong Yong, who is a Malaysian. So no racism here. A Bumiputera was allowed to sell his assets to a non-Bumiputera.

If we question Mokhzani's sale of the shares to Lim, we can also question Lim's sale of the same shares to Parkway Holdings. But I don't it's right to call them names.

Having questioned Mokhzani and Lim for their action, we must now question our Government why it allowed Lim to sell the shares to Singapore-based Parkway.

As if that's not bad enough, our Government took months to realise that a Malaysian company has fallen into foreign hands.

I know for certain that Kumpulan Perubatan Johor (KPJ) has always been keen on Pantai. In fact it made a bid but the deal fell through and it sued the vendor.

Thank You.

Dato,

I am just curious why suddenly we are witnessing so many politicians supporting Pak Lah for e.g.

Koh Tsu Koon:" No, Khari didn't dictate me to whom the contract awards should be granted to. We only discuss the normal issues when we met each other"

Lim Keng Yik :"How could the government reverse its decision (refers to Jambatan Benkang Bengkok) because of one man (Tun)?

Can it be coincident that these two politicians, who whole heartedly support Pak Lah due to feeling obliged that Pak Lah in favour that Penang Ketua Menteri position should not be rotated between Gerakan and Umno. The curious thing is that what if Pak Lah accedes to the demand by the Penang Umno for the Ketua Menteri to be rotated. You’ll then witness different side of reactions coming from both Gerakan politicians.

Dato,

Most Penang Malays felt during the past two years they have been ruthlessly marginalised.

Now it becomes so apparent since a lot of the multinational manufacturing companies has moved abroad and cause massive unemployment especially amongst the Malays who mostly work as the machine operators. State government are not sensitive towards the plight of the Malays by not assisting them. No retraining programmes being done to assist those unemployed or locate them elsewhere. So basically, when you have unemployment, more crimes and family problems began to suddenly emerge.

I think Pak Lah is treading on a thin line. He has perched too comfortably on the high tree in Putra Jaya until the plight of his state people has been largely ignored. He only pays lip service to address the plight of Penang Malay. His craving to placate to certain section of his party's coalition has caused him to be blinded. Now, Pak Lah is currently caught between a treacherous sea and the enemy chasing towards him from behind. So which choice would he go for? Issues like this wouldn’t have appearred if Pak Lah has taken a more proactive role two years ago, i.e.- 1) Pak Lah should have seriously tackled the Malay issue when he first won the huge mandate in the 2003 election. He should have used to push some of the programmes that is beneficial toward the Malays when he is in a much stronger position, politically. 2) He should have long attempt to address the issue of Penang gradually hollowing out as the country’s manufacturing hub. Initiative should have done to attract new companies to set up their sites in Penang to replace those who have gone abroad. Nothing has being done on the FDI front.

So basically, Pak Lah more issues keeps on piling up. The Penang people were happy when you won the election and expect more things from you. But empty promises still remains empty promise and their patience is growing thinner and thinner day by day. The saddest thing is that he , Pak Lah, least to expect all these grouses to come from his home state supporters, at the time when he most needed their support.

Assalamualaikum Dato'

Re: PEMBELIT AKAN MEMBERI JAWAPAN YANG TIDAK LURUS KEATAS SKANDAL JAMBATAN BENGKOK

1. TDM amat bijak dalam mendapatkan persetujuan (a letter in respond by Goh Chok Tong 11/4/2002, saying Spore agreed - is a written agreement by itself, no doubt about that.) Singapura. TDM need no reply as he has got the right / consent agreement by Spore. That's it. That is why Malaysia does not need to conceive again on the matter, we just have to proceed with the bridge, but should Spore later disagree, we can bring it to the International Court / Tribunal. See how sleek is TDM. Smart chap that we have. See how TDM outsmart the Sporean by taking out from the pakage deal, and steal the agreement under the Sporean nose without their realising it. Very smart move.

2. If not, Why did then, Spore later hantar Nota Bantahan? And they mention about the AGREEMENT! It's becoz they suddently realise their overlook mistake. They accidently agreed to the construction of the bridge.

3. Yang TERJADI AMATLAH BODOHNYA, Pak Lah and the Cabinate members pi dok discuss balik and asking whats Spore's concern buat apa. Itulah depa punya mistake besar. Bila dah masuk bincang, dah jadi kok lain, maka dengan tidak tersengaja, bila masuk mini pakej, hah... mulalah depa terperasan yg depa dah tersilap. Jadi takdak jalan lain, kecuali abandon project sebab sendiri dah ter'create' masaalah.

You n Me know who... THE hAlf6 Govt. They should at least make an APPOLOGY to the Rakyat, And Thank TDM for showing what's gone wrong, and not plan to demonise TDM instead. Kalu aku pun, aku mesti marah, org dah buat elok2 dah, depa p slongkak bagi rosak. Bodoh tui punya menteris. Sorilah... mesti kena mintak letak jawatan dgn pembangkang. So depa cari scape goat... TDM. Adaka patut.. Buat malu punya mentris.

SO... LETS SUPPORT TDM ..... HIDUP TUN, WE LOVE U ALWAYS.

Sekian, maaf Dato' kerana terpaksa guna bahasa campur.

Salam hormat dari saya yang ikhlas.

Point taken and I apologise. I was rather annoyed because in most cases like this there will always be people who take issues of national interest and twist it into a Bumi/non-Bumi issue.

These days I read this blog and sometimes Rocky's Bru and Cuitsikit. I avoid the rest because of the blatant racism and insensitivity to the sensivities of others.

I have written several times to various owners of blogs and sites, once to the late M.G.G.Pillai, that by hijacking issues of common interest and turning them into an NEP/Malay bashing, they alienate Malays who would have otherwise supported them.

I think what's worrying is that, if an important issue like this could slip by without notice, what else has slipped by? I guess this where the internet can play it's important role, by being the extra eye to alert the people in charge if something like this were to happen again. Transparency allows more eyes to be on the lookout. After all we are human, and can't expect to be vigilant all the time by ourselves. As they say there is strength in numbers.

Saya merasakan sungguh sedih apabila mengenangkan masa hadapan Malaysia yang sungguh gelap. Dahulunya apabila kita menceritakan mengenai Malaysia, kita sungguh bangga sekali.

Nasib Melayu Pulau Pinang dibiarkan dipermainkan begitu sahaja sedangkan tempat itulah tempat asal beliau.

In an earlier comment I mentioned the possibility of Singapore companies and consultants being invited to participate in the SJER.

Looks like this is going to happen with Parkway Holdings (PH) likely to get the health/medical component. As you and cucutun have mentioned, what about KPJ? A Johor GLC running maybe even more hospitals than PH. Why the need to placate Singapore? Or maybe, as mentioned in a previous comment, because it is Bumi controlled, it lacks quality. Another possibility could be because KPJ is a child from the TDM administration let's feed the kera across the selat.

With regard to Pantai Holdings, I do not think we have to buy back anything. There must be an escape clause which allows the government to rescind the contracts. It is now in fact a company controlled by foreigners but unlike other companies controlled by foreigners, it is a government contractor which was not foreign controlled at the point of award.

It would be very interesting to see the outcome of the investigation into how this debacle came about. Who did not carry out his duties, in which case there is negligence, or who "closed one eye and shut the other eye", in which case there could be corruption and/or collaboration. I will not be at all surprised however, if the verdict is everything was done above the table.

Whatever it is, to plead ignorance is unacceptable especially if one is in a position to know.

Sebab bila saya bukak, pc akan jadi slow sgt. Adakah ada script2 tersembunyi yg membuatkan web browser IE ni jadi slow. Dan kadang2 boleh jadi hang. Bila saya buka Yahoo, segala masalah akan selesai. Jadi saya pasti blog Datuk nie ada masalah.”

Saya bukanlah pandai sangat hal teknologi komunikasi ni.

penjajahan jepun bertukar kpd british....

Terima kasih kpd tunku atas usahanya utk memerdekakan Tanah Melayu. Layaklah dia mendapat gelaran Bapa Kemerdekaan.

Tampuk diganti pula oleh Tun Razak. Usahanya membangunkan kawasan luar bandar amat dipuji, perlaksanaan Dasar Ekonomi Baru 1971 juga telah menaikkan ekonomi melayu. Layak lah dia digelar Bapa Pembangunan.

Tampuk berganti lagi, anak pengasas UMNO pula seterusnya - Tun Hussein Onn. Usahanya menyatupadukan rakyat berbilang kaum dan program rukun tetangga nya haruslah dihargai . Gelaran Bapa Perpaduan layaklah diberikan padanya.

Tampuk berganti lagi, kali ini bukan lagi dikalangan orang kenamaan. Tetapi anak tempatan yang dibesarkan dengan pelajaran. Dr Mahathir namanya.

Tampuk pemerintahan berganti lagi.

Bapa mertua mungkin....

Talk Di Perlis dibatalkan.. lagi skali buat saya pening... apa sudah jadi dgn kerajaan malaysia sekarang. satu perkara yg paling saya takut mengenai kata2 TDM..
" Umno menang selama ini adalah kerana kita bercakap benar, jika kita mula bercakap bohong, maka jangan terkejut kalau kita kalah dalam pilihanraya nanti" -- lebih kurang macam tuh beliau bercakap..

jadi inilah yg saya takut.

Anonymous said...

This is what I have been expecting long time ago. Dirty tactics starts into play. The ongoing case study is what is happening in Perlis currently. Dato' Zahidi wasn't able to secure a place to hold meeting and obtain the police permit. Therefore, Tun won't be able to make his speech.

The UMNO central party would then come out with the statement denying that they have any role in all these. Then we will hear the typical statement: "It is up to the premise owner whether they wanted to rent the place or not. We don't have any say on how they decide. Regarding the non-issuance of police permit:" We leave to the discretion of the police to decide the situation. If they felt that the situation could threaten the national security, than they have the right to refrain from giving out the permit. We have nothing to do with them."

So basically, Tun will be denied giving his speech and his voice will be muzzled. So if Tun is silenced, so eventually the criticism will die out and no fresh topics to talk about. Later on, people would either got bored talking about the same subject or simply forgot as things have cooled down. So if Perlis experiment works, then why not used in all the states in Malaysia.

The BIG question is what Tun needs to do so that he can still speak his mind off. Why not Tun goes into life video streaming via the website so that he can reach for more audience. Then it becomes a double edge sword. The good thing is that Tun's speech can reach more to larger audience. The bad thing is that the authority can have a good reason to clamp down, not only his website but on other bloggers who supported TUn.

The best bet is for Tun to speak at his home state. I don't think that the Kedah MB is brave enough to take action, since his action will cause uproar on the grassroots’ level as Tun is their golden boy. The most important thing is that as long as he is given the opportunity to give his speech to the general public, it is good enough. His speech could then be transformed into CDs or projected via internet streaming to reach for wider audience.

Whatever it is, in the present desperate situation, Tun will use his life-time wits and experiences to overcome the huddle. Never ever underestimate Tun as he is at his best when he is really under pressure.

Thought this is relevant to be re-posted here (original posted in Rocky Bru blog).

Found this while googling.

Look at the smelly rat in this report.

http://0101.netclime.net/1_5/C/N/S/JPMorgan-050921-Mala.pdf

This JP Morgan report dated back in 20 Setember 2005 at the time when Pantai shares was RM1.74 and targetted Pantai price to reach RM2.50.

It value Medivest at RM211 million and Fomema at RM832 million. This is interesting and really fishy. Page 3 and 7 of this report state that the target price has been based on valuation of the 2 concessions on a RENEWED basis.

Why on earth is the issue of RENEWAL of concessions period assumed in the report? EPU, or MOF, Can shed some light.?

The Star reported that the concessions don't expire till 2012, so why the need to extend and WHY give value to a company that is now controlled by foreigners?

Or this is just to "goreng" Pantai shares for taxi drivers, burger sellers and pasar malam traders to jump in. Bursa Saham, over to you.

Had those "savvy shareholders" (words borrowed from Anita report in Star) like Fidelity International and Singapore GIC bought Pantai shares based on this JP Morgan report?

Layman mathematics don't work here. Parkway bought the controlling blocks of Pantai which has all the hospital (7) and 2 concessions for only RM312 million. And in that Star report, they indicate the selling price just for this 2 concessions alone for RM300 to RM500 million.

Simply Fishy.

Some savvy analyst can please comment

Dok ingat dia dok play safe macam selalu juga
Maklumlah itu cara dia naik jadi ketua
Dok diam-diam biar orang lain sengsara.

Dok tak dok kita dengar Najib bersuara
Dia kata, pertahan Pak Lah tugas semua
Dia bagitau Mahathir, berenti buat angkara
Isu jambatan dah tak ada sebarang guna.

Inilah cerita kacang lupakan kulit
Jasa Mahathir tak laku seduit
Sebab kepada you know who, he's very afraid
You better be PM or you're as good as dead.

Nazri Aziz nak jadi pendekar
Nak lawan Mahathir sebab engkar
Jumpa Khairy pun dak ketar
Mahathir jerkah berak dalam seluar.

Releks le membe
Bising-bising buat ape
Kalau berani lantak aje
Vintage wine kan nanti kite

Tak cukup di Malaysie kite ke Singapure
Buat parti suke-suke
Ada GRO Melayu dan Cine
Have fun pedulikan mereke.

Mat Tunjang Enterpise nak pi Perlis
Nak tanya Tok Guru Haji Idris
PM kata ada manusia macam iblis
Dalam Quran macam tu ka tulis?

Lah tak payah tokong analisa panjang lebar. Seluk beluk memang standard.

Terima Kadih.

Sdr Stomedt...

In 1980s, the worst inflation rate ever recorded i.e.<1% (if am not mistaken). Low inflation pun not necessary good (due to it always associated with slow economic activities & growth)…higher inflation always associated with_economic growth and contribute to the production of real output (translated and measured by GDP)…but bear in mind…higher inflation jugak ada possibily hurting the economy…what is important is to maintain a stable inflation environment!!..

ASSALAMUALAIKUM DATO'

IZINKAN SAYA PENA SEDIKIT PANDANGAN SAYA DATO'

BICARA MINDA – PERIHAL KEMENANGAN PILIHANRAYA YANG LALU.

DARI PENGAMATAN DAN CONGAKKAN SAYALAH... KALAU TUN TAK LETAK JAWATAN DAN MEMBAWA BERSAMANYA SEGALA DENDAM HASRAT ORANGRAMAI YANG BENCIKAN TUN, BERSAMA KETIKA KELUAR UMNO DULU, TAK MUNGKIN PAK LAH BOLEH MENANG PILIHANRAYA TERDAHULU DENGAN SEBEGITU BANYAK.

THE AFTER EFFECT/HASIL DARI KEMENANGANNYA, SEBENARNYA DATANG DARI PAKSI TINDAKAN TUN.

SEPERKARA LAGI, SEBELUM TUN BERUNDUR, DIA TELAH MERAPATKAN SEMUA AHLI PARTI SUPAYA BERSATU DAN TERUS GIAT BERJUANG. DIA TELAH MENYERU DALAM PERHIMPUNAN UMNO...."GENDANG PERANG DAH DIPALU... APA LAGI... PERGILAH BERJUANG" (RUJUK KEMBALI KATA2 KARAMAH DARI TUN DLM PERHIMPUNAN AGONG UMNO YANG DAHULU). KETIKA MENDENGAR SERUAN SEORANG PEMIMPIN BERKATA BEGITU, BERDETUP JIWA HATI DAN MINDA SAYA, RAKYAT BIASA YANG TIADA APA-APA, CUMA YANG ADA HANYALAH UNTUK BANGUN BERJUANG. MENYERTAI PERJUANGAN BANGSA DAN NEGARA. TUN TELAH MENIUP SEMANGAT AHLI2 UMNO, TERMASUK KEPADA PAKLAH UNTUK BERJUANG, UNTUK MENAIK DAN MENEGAKKAN PERJUANGAN PARTI MELAYU - UMNO!.

KEMUDIAN DARI RENUNGAN SAYA, SEBELUM TUN BERUNDUR, DIA TELAH MEMASTIKAN SEMUA KEKECOHAN YANG ADA DAPAT DISELESAIKAN DENGAN SEBAIK MUNGKIN. TUN MEMASTIKAN KEADAAN NEGARA DAN EKONOMI BERADA DALAM KEADAAN YANG TERBAIK. JIKA YANG TIDAK BAIK, DIA TELAH MEMBAWA BERSAMA-SAMANYA UNTUK KELUAR DARI PARTI, AGAR ORANG TIDAK MEMBENCI UMNO.... WALAUPUN DIRINYA, ADA MASIH YANG MEMBENCI, DIHINA ATAU DICACI. RAMAI JUGA YANG KETIKA ITU DUKA BESEDIH DENGAN KEHENDAK DAN PEMERGIAN TUN. PELBAGAI RUPA, SEHINGGA SAYA SENDIRI TIDAK SEDAR DIRI BERGELINANG AIR MATA. TERASA BENAR AIRNYA SEJUK DAN HATI SAYA SEBAK MERONTA. PERGINYA JUGA SEORANG PEJUANG - TUN DR. MAHATHIR.

SEMASA 'PRU' NAK DIADAKAN, SAYA TURUT BERKEMPEN, MEMBAWA SEGALA SEMANGAT YANG MEMBARA, BERKOBAR-KOBAR KECERUK BERSAMA PEMIMPIN. HINGGAKAN PARTI2 PEMBANGKANG PUN LESU, TIADA SEBARANG ISU UNTUK DICANANG-CANANGKAN.

JADI, KEMENANGAN PAK LAH DALAM PILIHANRAYA YANG LALU... BUKAN LAH DATANG DARI FAKTOR KERJA DIA SORANG, MAHUPUN DARI PEMIMPIN2 UMNO SEKARANG DAN JUGAK AHLI2NYA... TETAPI DARI SAYA, KAMI DAN MEREKA YANG MENDOKONG SEMANGAT KEWIBAAN PARTI UMNO YANG TELAH DIBAKAR, DIASUH DAN DISERU KESUATU TAHAP YANG MULIA DAN TINGGI – IAITU OLEH TUN.

OLEH DEMIKIAN, AMATLAH SEDIH TERLALU PADA PANDANGAN SAYA, KENAPA PARA AHLI UMNO YANG ADA KINI, BAGAIKAN HILANG API SEMANGAT PERJUANGAN MEREKA. CAHAYA YANG ADA, PENUH SANGSI LAGI DIGUSARI. BERBAHASA PULAK, BAGAIKAN SELOKA SANG 'PARIAH' (MAAF DGN IZIN DATO' & PEMBACA). DAH.. TU… MEREKA MEMBAKAR PULAK INSAN YANG TELAH MEJULANG SEMANGAT MEREKA. DICACI DAN DINISTA SEGALA KATA, TANPA SILU DIHADAPAN JELATA. SELALUNYA APAKAH HUKUM BAGI MEREKA YANG MENONGKAH KARMA. MALAPETAKALAH SUDAH PARTI KITA - UMNO. MALU DAN RUNTUN SUNGGUH, HATI DAN KUSUT MINDA SAYA DENGAN SEGALA SIKAP DAN TINDAK TANDUK PARA PEMIMPIN YANG TIDAK DAPAT MENILAI... YANG MANA SATU PERJUANGAN DAN YANG MANA SATU PENGGADAIAN MARUAH. APAKAH MINDA DAN HATI YANG KITA PUPUK SUCI INI TIDAK DAPAT MENGENAL YANG MANA SATU BENAR DAN YANG MANA SATU SALAH. JIKALAH KITA TIDAK MENGERTI MENILAI AKAN RUKUN2 INSAN, MAKA BEGITU, JENIS IBLIS DAN BERUKLAH KITA SEMUA.

AKHIR SEKALI, SAYA MENYERU PADA SEMUA… MARILAH KITA RENUNG SEJENAK.... DENGAN CARA YANG MENDALAM. MOGA-MOGA KITA TIDAK DITIMPA LAGI DENGAN IMPIAN KOSONG YANG MENJANJIKAN DAMAI ABADI.

SEKIAN, WASSALAM DATO'.

Can help to have this feeling.

Because of fear, (just fear only) of violiation international law and our sensitivities to our neighbour, the crooked bridge is cancelled almost abruptly.

In this Parkway/Pantai mess, almost ONE YEAR, PM now only realise the problem and will take action. And here PM admitted there is indeed a problem (some kind of violation has happened).

Just don't quite understand.

Macam ada Udang DiSebalik Batu.

Macam mana nak cemerlang and terbilang. Can't blame the rakyat to be cynical. More like temberang kut!

Saya fikir begini..

Pendek kata..saya fikir UMNO makin tak relevan.

Datuk and Bru, Whereas Pantai Holdings Berhad has fallen into foreign control, ECM Libra Berhad, which was recently handed a valuable government (people's)asset in the form of Avenue Resources Berhad, does not look very Malaysian either.
Other than the high-profile and controversial presence of the Prime Minister's son-in-law and Deputy Umno Youth Chief, and one or two other Malays, there are not that many Malays and no Indians, Ibans or Kadazan-Dusuns in its board and senior management.
I think a true Malaysian investment banker with strong government participation must exhibit a truer Malaysian face.

Dear Economist...

I think you're right. I had an opportunity to attend series of meetings/discussions with ECM's staff. During the meeting, i found that 9/10 of the representatives are chinese!!

Dato AKJ,

Aduhh, mudah benarkah mata anak2 melayu dibutakan? senang benarkah telinga anak2 melayu dipekakkan?!

Dato’

I am **-year old and my father tells me to read more about politic, which was rather more entertaining then the recent Akedemi Fantasia, and at the same time, he wants my English to be improved.

Dato’

Look at those who grumble about the Kamaluddin Abdullah Scomi's achievement while in my opinion, they should have to look into how Scomi do the businesses, while Scomi have all the expertise.

Arguing about the hopeless Prime Minister statements are greatly a waste of time as everybody supposedly knows about his incredibility as a weak Prime Minister.

However, Kamaluddin Abdullah and Shah Hakim have been appointed as the very few of richest Malays of it's top 40s and in my opinion, Malay should be proud of this and not to spitefully heartburnt.

Dato’

Look at what had happened to the Mokhzani Pantai Medivest, when he has to quit from being the UMNO Youth Treasurer, just to satisfy the busted Malay around. Whereby, in the end, the loses were up to the whole nation especially the Malay (Government) themselves. I believe that Pantai should be sold to the GLC, still. Bailed or not bailed, was not the most matters but, people should know the cause and effect if it is sold to the other parties rather than the GLC.

Dato’

They shouldn’t have to scream out the nepotism and cronyism all the times as if they do really understand about the importance of strategic companies as the nation’s own. Now, Pantai is no more with us, and I still believe there are people who don’t really realize about what was actually happened and besides, they still talk about nepotism and cronyism, which was somehow unnecessary.

Thank You.
