A mediacal doctor like Dr M, he says the right thing, the facts that the patients need to hear. Not lies and bulls. Or try to shut down/hide a case without notifications to anyone. And he keeps to the medical policy to guard the patients' records at heart, taking country as the patient and goverments' 'hot notes' as the records. A doctor cannot lie or hide anything from the patient, and thats why Dr M is very open and critical in many of his tasks.

but then, looking at AAB's cabinet now, sigh, we are at stake, and we knew about it since the very first day Dr M said his minds off his head. All other issues have to take a back seat until TDM-AAB issue reaches to a satisfactory conclusion. How can the rakyat accept the rationalization to build a sports complex in England, in which the 4 key questions haven’t been resolved yet? Answering these 4 paramount questions doesn’t involve spending millions of tax payers’ money. It only requires sincere and straight forward answers and evidence from them. In fact, selling the concept of Islam Hadhari will only fall on deaf ears as the rakyat are already fed up and simply cannot stomach all these “cakap-cakap kosong” or “cakap tak seberapa bikin” attitude anymore. Enough is enough. The rakyat needed the PM to have the courage enough to salvage his reputation first before he embarks into merry-go-round projects or so-called policy.

I am quite perplexed on how AAB reputation has fallen down the grace, in which I once considered himself quite a capable and astute person during his tenure as a foreign minister. Now, what ashamed, he has become a clueless and lame-duck Prime Minister. I used to be an ardent NST reader during the 1990’s and I read quite a number of articles about AAB performance in the international arena, especially representing Malaysian interest in the United Nation, NAM and Asean conference as well as on other bilateral talks. I was quite impressed by his track record and his ability to provide sturdy platform for TDM or ex-PM to give his speech on international issues when he was abroad. Whatever it is, whether AAB managed do it well based on his own merit or due to him surrounded by capable senior offices, that is a secondary matter. But from what I read, he managed to perform his duty well. (I believe Dato would know better as you were heading NST during that time)

I believe no one expected that AAB turn up to be someone who can be so incompetent in his current duty and has fumbled in deciding on a number of important issues. I bet DSAI was also shocked on how ineffective his compatriot has been in heading the current administration.

One of the major reasons might be attributable to his personal life. Since his wife, was diagnosed with cancer and has been warded overseas, he was unable to focus fully on his duty. Not only that; there might be other psychological elements, such as a sense of insecurity or vulnerability beginning to adversely affecting him. I think added with other outside elements, e.g. KJ, Oxford gangs, and Kalimullah, who took opportunity on his vulnerability, at the end of the day his reputation has been tarnished. He is not seen anymore as a clean, perceptive and astute politician. In our past history, I believe Tengku Razaleigh and Tun Hitam was not favoured by Tun Abdul Razak because of their doubtful personal life, in which it is a essential criteria for a Prime Minister candidate to have a clean and stable personal life. Tun Dr Mahathir was chosen compared to other two and also aside from all other his positive traits was because he has a stable family life.

AAB is considered an affectionate type-of-person, who needed to have his significant other to be at his side. Given that AAB doesn’t have his wife anymore to support and console him, it makes his work becomes much harder. It is difficult to imagine, how he can keep on carrying this arduous duty whole heartedly and with a clear mind. I believe sometimes it is unfair to blame all what it happening currently solely to him. Deep down, everyone still believes he is a descent person and willing to work hard for the country.

On the other hand, AAB also needed to understand his own limitations and the constraints that are holding him back from performing his job judiciously.

I believe Tun also realized about AAB limitation. Tun was hoping that AAB would still consult him on certain national issues once Tun retired. Somehow, AAB decided to go on with his own way and eventually, that contributes to his downfall. Not to say that there need to be a Senior Ministerial post established similar to Singapore for Tun to be consulted. Following the tradition of Malay politics, it is advisable sometimes that the apprentice solicit some advice from the mentor, who has proven his success, in order to gain from his wisdom. Even in the American mafia family, the head of the clan, still solicit from their elderly, whenever he is faced with difficult problems. In American politics, nobody would deny that George Bush Jnr would solicit some advice from his father, George Bush Snr, on current foreign policies.

All in all, I hope eventually things would turn up OK in the future. By that, meaning that, Tun would allow AAB to leave the office graciously and history would still mark AAB tenure with certain number of contributions. For the future, hopefully the next PM can learn from this episode to use his power judiciously and follow the previous blueprint on national policies that have been laid out by Tun, in order Malaysia to achieve the vision 2020.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153740498641714232006-07-24T19:28:00.000+08:002006-07-24T19:28:00.000+08:00Musang berbulu ayam.Agak pelik jika diamati petika...Musang berbulu ayam.
Agak pelik jika diamati petikan dr .berita harian mengenai isu Palestine muka 4 ,22/7.

kalau bukan peluru,kita gunakan akal."

Jika beginilah idea yang kononnya datang dr the best brain in Malaysia maka bergembira
lah proxy Yahudi diselatan tanahair.

terutamanya yg mudah terpedaya, bahawa dia memperjuangkan Islamic cause. Dalam hal ini media tempatan
dijadikan orang suruhan supaya mengambil the best shot or act utk dipaparkan didlm media elektronik dan akhbar keesokan harinya.

Menyentuh tentang gunakan akal..

Biarkan,Biarkan si Luncai syok dgn labunya...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153718021078300112006-07-24T13:13:00.000+08:002006-07-24T13:13:00.000+08:00Salamun alaikum Dato'.Secara ringkasnya, negara ki...Salamun alaikum Dato'.

At the same time, looking inside UMNO, I can't really see anybody else either. It is sad to actually acknowledge that fact.

Harap EXCO-EXCO Penang jangan Pening.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153662795507152232006-07-23T21:53:00.000+08:002006-07-23T21:53:00.000+08:00Datuk,Jangan terkejut kalau saya katakan bahawa Da...Datuk,
-makangaji.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153660012610889652006-07-23T21:06:00.000+08:002006-07-23T21:06:00.000+08:00Dear makangaji,I find your "doa untuk Umno" very i...Dear makangaji,

I find your "doa untuk Umno" very interesting. Now, people are starting to inquire how the next Malaysian political landscape would be, specifically, how would the next Umno general meeting would be. “Should there a major upheaval at the very top most Umno echelon?” The question is that-“To be challenged or not to be challenge”. There will be no more safe political manoeuvring. No more fence sitters.

The major question is that unless Umno make drastic changes, it will enter into the next general election with a political risk. Everyday from now onwards, Pak Lah will not have an easy ride. His every move will be watched not only by Tun, but also by the general public. Every word uttered by Tun, would cast more doubt towards Pak Lah’s credibility. Once it reaches towards the upcoming UMNO general election, the question in the mind of the delegates is should they stick with the current leader or not. During that time, most delegates would already knew how the grassroots felt about the current administration. In another word, the composition of newly elected delegates would represent the grassroots sentiments, whether supporting or opposing the present Umno leader. If the new delegates failed to reflect the sentiment of the grassroots, in which majority would like leadership change, and yet still proceed with the status quo, then UMNO will probably be charting into a risky territory.

If the rakyat foresee there hasn’t been any major change in the Umno leadership structure, then they would express their dissatisfaction in the next upcoming election. The anticipated pattern of voting would probably be like this. - The Chinese would probably flock back to DAP whenever they felt the economy is not progressing that well. The past staunch UMNO voters would probably split. There are those who would still be voting for UMNO and a significant majority would be staying away from casting their votes. Meanwhile the Malay fence sitters would probably be voting for the opposing parties, i.e. PAS or Keadilan. Only the Indian would be staunchly backing the MIC. But if the economy is getting worse, probably a significant number would cast their vote towards DAP, just to express their dissatisfaction. So during that time, BN would probably be at cross roads trying to cling to their dear life to achieve the two third majorities. The worse scenario is that achieving half of the votes might be a tall order too.

Even now, political pundits are already making their early predictions. Who should the politicians be throwing their weights in order that they make the correct political alignment for the sake of their future political career. At the end of the day, what the rakyat wanted is a Malaysian leader who is willing to sacrifice his life for a nation and to take the responsibility seriously. He must be a special breed of person above the rest and able to use his true wisdom to garner Malaysia toward a successful era. Malaysian in general demand for results and are already fed up with all the rhetoric and empty slogans. They don’t want to feel short change anymore.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153587435836913762006-07-23T00:57:00.000+08:002006-07-23T00:57:00.000+08:00Pak Lah kita sudah bersuaraBila balik dari negera ...Pak Lah kita sudah bersuara
Bila balik dari negera Australia
Kita seronok dia sihat macam biasa
Tapi pasai Khairy dia bercerita

Ceritalah sikit pasai rakyat jelata
Pasai anak masuk kolej tak ada asrama
Bila dah dapat diploma tak ada kerja
Nak tak nak kena potong getah juga

Pak Lah kata nak mai jumpa kami
Kami dok tunggu kami dok nanti
Dengar-dengar Pak Lah pi luar negeri
Pak Lah balik Najib pulak pi

Kami susah Pak Lah tak peduli
Orang kritik menantu Pak Lah susah hati
Pak Lah pun jawab sepenuh hati
Pasai taasub sangat dengan Khairy

Sayang anak, sayang menantu
Sayang bini, sayang cucu
Tapi jangan sampai naik buntu
Kebajikan rakyat tak ambil tau

Betuilah Khairy bukan penasihat
Tapi dengan dia Pak Lah cukup rapat
Dia ni pulak cakap sangat hebat
Pak Lah dengar tentu sepakat.

Tu lah yang orang dok kata
Khairy ni dia pandai cerita
Pak Lah dengar tentu tergoda
Salah-salah tergadai satu negara.

Tiga Abdul bukan sekadar cerita
Sidek Sigaraga kaya tak terkira
Dia ingat dia cerdik dan bijaksama
Habis-habis menantu jual dia!

Mat Tunjang Enterprise tabik Khairy
Dia punya pandai kita boleh tandingi
Mula-mula dia ambil hati Perdana Menteri
Lepas tua dia menikah dengan Nori.

Jodoh pertemuan di tangan Tuhan
Kita manusia tak boleh tahan
Dia jadi menantu Pak Lah kita relakan
Tapi janganlah pula ambil kesempatan.

Pak Lah Perdana Menteri Malaysia
Bukan bapak mentua Khairy saja
Jangan kerana dia Pak Lah binasa
Kita yang mengundi ini ada kuasa.

Ada bini menteri gila Bollywood
Kepada dia bapak menteri cukup takut
Inilah yang buat Mat Enterprise serabut
Kita yang undi, cakap bini yang dia ikut.

Nori terlepas Siti Nurhaliza tak dapat
Ni yang Mat Enterprise rasa cukup berat
Kalau ikut hati memang dah tak larat
Tapi apa daya, kerja nak kena jugak buat.

Bela anak bini dan suku sakat
Nak bayar cukai, fitrah dan zakat
Menteri kita pun nak dok sihat-sihat
Anak bina depa pun belanja kuat.

Mat Tunjang Enterprise mengundur diri
Ampun dan maaf tidak terperi
Gurindam seloka menghibur hari
Untukmu Malaysia yang kita cintai.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153580763447442342006-07-22T23:06:00.000+08:002006-07-22T23:06:00.000+08:00Goodbye UMNO!Hantu Gigi JarangGoodbye UMNO!

Hantu Gigi JarangAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153573924945949062006-07-22T21:12:00.000+08:002006-07-22T21:12:00.000+08:00Sdr Sinbad,Dengan izin, saya mohon poskan komen Sd...Sdr Sinbad,

Dengan izin, saya mohon poskan komen Sdr yang terbaru sepenuhnya walaupun Sdr meminta perenggan terakhir dibuang.

Ada dua sebab. I would like to contribute by raising following brief issues:-

1. The AG was supposed to explain the legal implications of building the crooked bridge. The cabinet gave the impression his opinion bore heavily on its decision to CANCEL the project. The AG has not responded until today. Has he got something to hide? Has his advice been erroneous, misinterpreted or ignored by the Cabinet? His advice must also be declassified!;
2. The YTL “bullet train” poser. Is this the Abdullah-era version of the Mahathir era double tracking that was cancelled by the Abdullah government? Is YTL menangguk di air keruh? Is this another IPP and ERL type of deal that guarantees YTL long-term revenue and steady profit? According to the Star, YTL’s IPP rakes in annual profit of RM400 million for the entire 30-year concession period;
3. Is the bullet train proposal a ploy to direct public attention away the instruction by the government for the TNB to renegotiate terms of the power purchase agreements (PPAs) with IPPs, including YTL’s, which is charging the highest tariffs?
4. Is this YTL’s shrewd way of ensuring its future by proposing another mega privatization project to leverage against the possibility of having to concede to TNB in the upcoming negotiations?
5. The cancelled double tracking was contracted out to MMC, a Bumiputera-controlled company in which PNB is a substantial shareholder. MMC’s winning bid was much cheaper than the bid by the China-India consortium. The project was intended to create a land bridge between Singapore and Thailand, and beyond;
6. MMC’s contract included annual funding of RM300 million for the KTM; and
7. If the government continues to allow its assets and the assets of the GLCs and Bumiputera companies to be sold to others, it will never be able to raise Bumiputera ownership to 30 per cent by the year 2020 as REITERATED the PM when perenting the 9th Malaysia Plan.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153511067857562812006-07-22T03:44:00.000+08:002006-07-22T03:44:00.000+08:00BTW, Re: KL - S'pura bullet train, I agree with [a...BTW, Re: KL - S'pura bullet train, I agree with [altis].

AND, as a Malaysian, I'd say ONLY UP TO JOHOR. Period.

This is Malaysia's project & even if it's up until Johor, S'pore can also benefit with the flow of tourists, etc. That is, the SAME arguments & justifications on the benefits!..
Issues on trying to woo tourists in M'sia who use the bullet train to go to S'pore, are THEIRS as a "sovereign nation" - ie. totally NOT our concern.

On tanah2 in S'pura - to S'pura, too bad! We can sit on it as long as we want if we want to. Anyway...

Dato', if I may append my input on voting for UMNO "normal" members which I posted in your other article, I'd really appreciate it... Thank you.

=> I believe Govt cannot take normal rakyats (the masses, who have been diligently voting for UMNO &/or BN) for granted anymore.

With ICT, etc. & in this new millennium; I truly believe that it's possible for normal UMNO members to vote for all its Majlis Tertinggi people right up to President.

Current process of naming all the Calons can still continue, but ALL UMNO members can now vote.

Voting centers can be set up at the ALREADY available computers at ALL the Bahagians (it's just a matter of hooking up to a central computer, at Putrajaya/PWTC/wherever). At this day & age, ICT connectivity/networking is really no big deal.

So, the final Calon2 names will be put in the system, & EVERYONE can go & vote at their respective Bahagians selecting their preferred Calons ONLINE.

For example, during UMNO supreme member election day, "normal" UMNO members could also vote on the same day, say from 9am-1pm (doesn't have to be whole day, where, like banks, those who came late/after the closing time, cannot enter the voting center to vote).

But hanyalah sehingga antara Mac (13?)

And, over the years, both countries have long agreed on upgrading the causeway where M’sia can do whatever we want on our side, & they on theirs – I believe kesemua perutusan2 Leeky & Gohct kepada TDM (kerajaan Malaysia) menyatakan persetujuan mereka untuk Malaysia membuat apa jua yang kita hendak di kawasan kita di dalam soal2 bridge.

Anyway, as P-R-I-M-E Minister, one should know that National Interest is the basic aim/goal/objective.
At that level, seseorang itu mestilah "bekerja" kerana Malaysia...

Like [shahran] said, we don’t feel M’sia as “gah” anymore.
I think, for example like in this current situation of israel’s blatant use of weapons, bombing innocent public in Palestine & now Lebanon; TDM sure sudah siang2 lagi balik dari cuti “operate hidung” di Australia & terus sampaikan Perutusan2 TEGAS kepada kesemua World bodies (UN, G8, EU, & whathaveyous) atas nama OIC & NAM a.s.a.p.!... ie. Dia tidak payah tunggu orang2/public/rakyat jelata M'sia untuk cadangkan itu! TDM would have already known that "basic" thing, ie. it's his duty & responsibility, & terus buat! - IKHLAS & no problem.

* Well, dear PM, I sincerely hope you could please show something that’s really clever & sincere, for the sake of OUR country - fast!...
If you can’t handle it, please be man & humble enough to let someone else take over. It’s not a matter of pride.
It’s more than that...
Wallahu’alam.

Terima kasih banyak & Wassalamu’alaikum W. Ipso facto, this landbridge works in reverse as well i.e. exports from the hinterland will be channeled through Malaysian ports.

Therefore, reviving the double-tracking project in the northern and southern regions makes more economic sense than having a bullet-train which will impact directly onto KTM's operations and the possibility of losing the landbank for peanuts.shar101https://www.blogger.com/profile/13162891509015955835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153499468485491202006-07-22T00:31:00.000+08:002006-07-22T00:31:00.000+08:00Dimanakah transparency sedangkan kata2 ahli2 polit...Dimanakah transparency sedangkan kata2 ahli2 politik masih samar2?Azer Mantessahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17341208816535300371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153495706235049132006-07-21T23:28:00.000+08:002006-07-21T23:28:00.000+08:00Dato',If I'm not mistaken, the so-called bullet tr...Dato',

If I'm not mistaken, the so-called bullet train proposed by YTL uses the principle of magnetic levitation. Mag levs do not use wheels and rails.

Todate, the largest commercial operation of "mag lev" train is in Shanghai with a few smaller ones either recently completed or in progress.

To attain speeds upto 500 kph, a totally new route with very gentle curves and very gentle gradients would have to be constructed.

This will involve acquisition of land. We know from past experiences that this will mean large tracts of Malay-owned land. Another minus is mag levs do not carry freight.

The project will most likely be another ERL where YTL was the contractor and Tabung Haji the financier. YTL made its money upfront and is not bothered if the operating company is making losses. In this case, could the EPF be the "Pak Sanggup"?

The proposed service stops/starts at/from J.B. As luncai nyanyok pointed out, the land from Woodlands to Tanjong Pagar will revert to Singapore upon the cessation of rail services, something Singapore have been trying very hard to force KTM to do.

MAS not using Senai as a hub after the domestic routes rationalisation also effectively eliminates airfreight through that airport. That is why the Johor state government is against it.

The non-removal of the causeway means ships will still have to go around Singapore.

I get this uneasy feeling that some of us are doing everything for the benefit of Singapore and at the same time further enriching themselves.

In a more chivalrous era, this would be treated as treason.Budakboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17120648200714608524noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22873867.post-1153483779366077542006-07-21T20:09:00.000+08:002006-07-21T20:09:00.000+08:00Assalamualaikum w.t.b Dato'With permission and due...Assalamualaikum w.t.b Dato'
With permission and due respect, actually I don't really care about Pak Lah or Tun M relationship because...politic are always like that. But interested on the issues brought by Tun M. Hope Dato' or somebody else can advice me on the issues especially on the bridge and the bullet train. After months of thinking...still can't get the answer. Mungkin saya bukan daripada golongan yg berpelajaran tinggi.

Kerana people know changi airport more than KLIA. Tourist akan gunakan Changi untuk ke Malaysia. Berapa ramai orang Malaysia yg mampu naik bullet train nanti.
