Is There A Move to Discriminate Zahid?

JUDGING by the roil in the cyberspace, the Barisan Nasional’s victory in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar on June 18 does not appear to calm the nerves of the Prime Minister (Datuk Seri Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone), Mohd Najib Abdul Razak.

Pro-Najib’s bloggers at home and abroad had revved up campaign that former Prime Minister, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, wants to replace (Tan Sri) Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin with (Datuk Seri) Ahmad Zahid Hamidi in a proxy war with Mohd Najib.

By way of explanation, there are two types of pro-Najib bloggers - ones who are paid by Najib’s outfit and those who are not paid but are on his side.

During the by-elections, they trained their guns at Muhyiddin with allegations of infidelity. That probably was meant to stop Muhyiddin from campaigning or to blunt his assault. In any case, Muhyiddin did not campaign openly against the BN.

The Mahathir-Ahmad Zahid narrative could not have surfaced so soon after the latter led the BN to victory in the parliamentary by-elections if it was not been orchestrated by Mohd Najib’s inner circles who handle bloggers and editors of the mainstream media.

Ahmad Zahid, by the virtue of his position as Deputy Prime Minister, was the BN director of operation for the by-elections. He did well for the party but had also taken the advantage to promote himself.

Zahid upstaged Najib in the by-elections

Banners and social media postings bearing his name and pictures outnumbered Mohd Najib’s. There appeared to be a taboo against displaying Mohd Najib’s pictures in the two places.

Now that the by-elections had been fought and won, Mohd Najib can start fiddling with his next task – reshuffling the cabinet.

It is in this respect that the Mahathir-Zahid blog postings come handy. They provide justification for Mohd Najib to act against his new deputy.

Since the sacking of Muhyiddin as DPM in July last year, Ahmad Zahid had emerged as the strongest and the most popular Umno leader with the potential of challenging and replacing Mohd Najib at some future time.

Some say he is genuinely more popular than Mohd Najib. This has not escaped the attention of Mohd Najib’s inner circles that do not really favour Ahmad Zahid because they fear that he might not play ball with them.

Their choice is Mohd Najib’s cousin and Defence Minister, (Datuk Seri) Hishammuddin Hussein. He is weaker and can, therefore, be more easily manipulated.

So they started sowing the seed of discontent and distrust against Ahmad Zahid by letting out bits and pieces of negative news about him including questioning his English language fluency, his past association with (Datuk Seri) Anwar Ibrahim and, more recently, his “secret” meeting with Dr Mahathir.

Ahmad Zahid may still be genuinely loyal to Mohd Najib but if ever the crunch comes, a loyal deputy is less reliable than a blood relative.

So the talks that Hishammuddin would be “promoted” and Ahmad Zahid “demoted” in the coming cabinet reshuffle make sense.

Crystal-balling the Reshuffle

For a wider look at the exercise, let me publish an article by the same member of the Kedai Kopi Assembly (KKA) whose two commentaries were recently published here. He wrote:

“THERE are two vacancies in the cabinet; one, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, as the holder (Douglas Uggah Embas) stood for state elections in Sarawak recently and was appointed deputy chief minister replacing, Alfred Jabu, the long serving DCM representing the Dayaks.

The other is Minister in the PM Department responsible for the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Abdul Wahid Omar. He refused to continue to serve. 

The rumours are two “mamaks” will join the cabinet because  Najib is more comfortable with people of Indian heritage.

It is speculated that Shahrizat Jalil or Kak Ijat to her fans, would get back her old portfolio as her husband (Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail) had been acquitted of the NFC scandal involving RM240 million of which Kak Ijat said she knew nothing about as she never talked to husband about it although they stay in the same house and, presumably, share the same bed.

The new Attorney-General Mohamed Apandi Ali used his discretion to discontinue the case after receiving a letter from defense council, Shafie Abdullah. Apandi told the DPP to stop case and agreed with defense counsel that the accused be acquitted after defense counsel spoke to AG.

The former AG, Abdul Ghani Patael decided to prosecute the accused and the court ruled that the case must go on. The new AG overruled that decision after receiving Shafie’s letter to him. 

In the “bolehland” of Najib and the AG, all appears to be “boleh” (possible).  So there is no reason now not to bring back Kak Ijat as all about her family’s business is “clean” now.

During her absence from the cabinet, their son applied for scholarship to go to Harvard Kennedy School and another “mamak” at the Khazanah approved it because Kak Ijat was said to have written a letter in support of the application.

Maybe the “mamak” at the Khazanah thought Kak Ijat was poor although she is an adviser to PM and enjoys the same salary as when she was minister.  So the son and his wife went to America with rakyat’s money. We all know it is easier to get admission for masters than for 1st degree.

The Indian Muslim Factor

I have nothing against the “mamaks”. From time immemorial, the Indians and later the “DKKs”, have always have strong influence on the Malay Sultanates, the British Administration and later the Merdeka era.

Also references to ethnicity and “asal keturunan” should not be considered offensive since the PM himself declared that he is a Bugis and DPM a Javanese.

Let us face fact. Under Najib, “Mamakputra” with the high-powered “mamak connections” enjoy better privileges than “Umnoputras”. Why should the Malays and the Bumiputras be angry? Mamaks in UMNO are more Malay than Malays. First Lady’s advisors and key officers are also “mamaks”.

Present Chairman of Tabung Haji (Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim) is a “mamak” and is a very successful salesman for second hand cars. He was so good that he could convince the board of TH to subscribe to 1MDB bonds and later bought land at TRX to help out 1MDB.

And when the land purchase was criticised, he said he had a ready buyer and TH would make RM5 million in profit. Now we all know that it was all salesman’s talk. The purchaser never appeared. He forgot that to make an RM5-million profit, he must sell higher than purchase price plus RM5 million and more as TH has to pay RPTG and other expenses.

With time, people forget his promise and now we are told that the PM might bring him into the cabinet and maybe take Wahid’s place as he has been a successful businessman so can advise PM on the economy, which is now in a mess.

By appointing two ministers from the Peninsula, Sarawak will lose one cabinet seat unless PM enlarges the cabinet but it’s OK as, according to PM, in the recent state elections they supported him and 1MDB has nothing to with them. Only the Peninsula people have to pay 1MDB debts. So much for the Sarawakians supporting the PM during the state election. Hope people in Sarawak and Sabah will learn.

Rumours also say the PM will give up Finance Ministry and pass to his cousin, Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.  He wants his cousin to clear 1MDB mess and give more power to him politically. The DPM, Ahmad Zahid may be sent to Education and Najib takes over the Home Ministry.

Remember before he was sacked from the cabinet, Muhyiddin Yassin was at Education when he was DPM. It seems that those the PM does not trust would be sent to Education. PM takes over Home Affairs so nobody will arrest him. Defense is vacant. Shafie Apdal was once Najib’s deputy in the ministry.

Will the Zahid be happy if he is relieved of the powerful Home Affairs?  There is nothing he can do.  He was told to keep quiet. If he does not keep quiet, he won’t be PM. He is actually in a precarious situation. Muhyiddin is Deputy President of UMNO with no powers but will take over from Najib as President with serious implications for Zahid.”

Cash is King In Sg Besar and K. Kangsar

The results did not come as a surprise to me because as I had said in the May 24 posting that the Bugis warrior who is known for his "cash is King" strategy would succeed in retaining both seats.

I had also elude to the fact that in the 2014 by-election in Teluk Intan the Barisan Nasional's carpet bombing had led to the ouster of the incumbent DAP. The BN has always had the upper hand in a by-election.

Also I should be the last to be surprised by the difficulty of changing the mindset of the voters away from the Umno/BN hegemony.

The burden of responsibility is mine too. For nearly four decades I inculcated in the minds of the Malays that Umno is their protector and the BN is the best party to rule.

What surprised me is that despite the revelation of the wrongdoings of the Prime Minister, (Datuk Seri Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone), Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, with the collusion of the BN, the people still gave their votes to him and his party.

Sadly, their decision would only embolden him not only to continue defending his wrongdoings but to commit new ones if he so wishes.

But the blame is not on Mohd Najib and his cahoots alone. Those who voted for the BN must also feel ashamed that they had allowed his handouts and promises to influence them. They literally sold their votes for pittance.

Apart from "cash is king" there are other reasons for the BN's victory. Among them are:

1.There is the pervasive climate of fear. There were still many Malays who feared that if they did not vote for the BN they would be penalised. These are people who directly depend on the government like civil servants, policemen and soldiers, and those whose children are enjoying scholarships or are hoping for one, or who are waiting for government jobs.

2. The racial card played by BN by demonising that DAP and the Chinese, and whoever working with them. Unfortunately for Pakatan Harapan (PH), some Chinese had played a trick on them. Many who voted for the opposition during the 2013 General Election changed side on June 18.

There is a reason for this. With the pouring of cash and the promise of development projects, the Chinese, being traders and businessmen, would stand to gain. The Malays would spend the cash at Chinese shops and the Malay contractors would cede their contracts to the Chinese tauke.

3. The splitting of votes between PH and PAS gave the BN the boost. Had there been no vote splitting, the BN could have been defeated or at least not winning so handsomely.

4. Umno and the BN are not strong but the opposition due to the inter- and intra-party rivalries had literally shot themselves in both feet.

5. Hopefully things would not be the same at the General Election. The BN resources would be dispersed and the peer pressure among voters would be stronger. But the opposition must be prepared to be more united.

6. The stumbling block is PAS. Mohd Najib had succeeded in turning PAS into its mercenary soldiers. They are doing the fighting for him.

The Togo Syndrome

If we still fail at the coming General Election to make the changes, we must be prepared to suffer the Togo syndrome and run the risk of moving even closer to becoming failed state.

Togo in West Africa is the most unhappy country in the world, according to the annual World Happiness index produced by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), an initiative under the United Nations. It is also one of the poorest in the world.

But in less than three after the report was released, its president, Faure Gnassingbe, was overwhelmingly elected for the third term.

His family has been in power since 1967, when his father Gnassingbe Eyadema led a successful military coup d’etat. At the time of his death in 2005, Gnassingbé was the longest-serving leader in modern African history, after having been president for 38 years.

Skandal 1MDB Menang Anugarah

BERITA dari Hong Kong semalam kata, surat khabar Wall Street Journal (WSJ) dan pengarang ekonominya bagi edisi Asia, Tom Wright, dapat anugerah 2016 Pertubuhan Penerbit Asia (Sopa) kerana mendedahkan skandal 1MDB.

Wright turut diisytiharkan sebagai “Editor of the Year”.

Sebelum ini, WSJ dipilih sebagai peserta terakhir kategori Laporan Antarabangsa anugerah Pulitzer Prize di Amerika Syarikat kerana pendedahannya mengenai skandal yang sama.

Laporan dari Kuala Lumpur pada 5 Julai tahun lepas kata, Perdana Menteri, (Datuk Seri Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone), Mohd Najib Abdul Razak akan fail saman ka atas WSJ pada hari Selasa berhubung laporan yang kaitkan beliau dengan kes seleweng RM2.6 bilion duit 1MDB.

Dekat 52 Selasa dah datang dan pergi. Tom Wright dan WSJ dah menang anugerah tapi Mohd Najib tak saman-saman juga.

Siasat punya siasat, rupa-rupanya bukan undang-undang negara, Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Peguam Negara dan ahli PAC saja Mohd Najib tukar tapi takwim pun dia tukar.

Takwim dia, bukan takwim kita. Masalahnya takwim dia dengan takwim kita sekarang dah tak sama.

Takwim kita ada tujuh hari dalam seminggu iaitu Isnin, Selasa, Rabu, Khamis, Jumaat, Sabtu dan Ahad.

Takwim dia, yang juga dipakai oleh pemakan-pemakan dedaknya, kurang satu hari. Ada enam hari saja iaitu Isnin, Rabu, Khamis, Jumaat, Sabtu dan Ahad. Selasa tak ada.

Sebab itulah sampai hari ni dia dan peguam dia tak saman WSJ.

“Minta maaf la no, tok mo lawak sikit. La ni kena buat peran bagi oghang gelak pasai ghamai sangat stress. Jangan dok stress sangat no takut sat ni kena serang jantung!”

Meminjam pakai gaya bahasa Allah yarhamha Pendeta Negara (Tan Sri) Ismail Hussein, atas nota yang lebih serius saya ingin menggarisbawahkan bahawasanya kemenangan Tom Wright dan WSJ ini adalah penghinaan – affront - kepada Perdana Menteri, para peguam serta mereka yang komited kepadanya.

Saya sedang tunggu kenyataan Perdana Menteri yang kata, dia tidak campur tangan dalam pemilihan Tom Wright dan WSJ sebagai pemenang anugerah SOPA.

Mari ketawa. Ketawa belum kena GST

Berita dari London,  tempat kegemaran Mohd Najib. Katanya, dia ada mansion (rumah mewah) di situ.

International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC) dan anak syarikatnya, Aabar Investments PJS (Aabar), telah buat permintaan timbang tara kepada Mahkamah Timbangtara Antarabangsa London tuntut AS$6.5 bilion (RM26 bilion) daripada 1MDB dan kerajaan Malaysia menerusi Kementerian Kewangan Diperbadankan (MOF).

"RFA prihatin terhadap kegagalan 1MDB dan MOF untuk menjalankan obligasi kontrak di bawah Lembaran Terma Terikat (BTS) seperti yang dinyatakan dalam pengumuman IPIC GMTN Limited pada 10 Jun 015 (RNS Nombor 7064P)," kata IPIC dalam kenyataan yang dihantar kepada Bursa Saham London, hari ini. Menteri Kewangan Diperbadankan disaman di sini

Jelas Perdana Menteri, (Datuk Seri Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone), Mohd Najib Abdul Razak tipu. Dia kata, 1MDB tak akan jejas negara.

Nah sekarang Kementerian Kewangan yang dia jadi bos dah kena saman di Mahkamah Timbangtara Antarabangsa London. Beban siapa tanggung? Kita rakyat jelata lah.

IPIC menyatakan bahawa kegagalan 1MDB dan MOF dalam menjalankan tanggungjawab mereka, melangsaikan tunggakan atau mengemukakan cadangan yang boleh diterima telah menyebabkan IPIC tiada pilihan alternatif selain meneruskan tuntutan berjumlah AS$6.5 bilion menerusi timbang tara.

"Tuntutan itu akan ditentukan oleh tribunal timbang tara yang akan terdiri daripada tiga orang penimbangtara menurut Lembaran Terma Terikat dan peraturan-peraturan LCIA ," kata IPIC dalam kenyataan itu.

Apa lagi tipu-helah Mohd Najib dan pemakan-pemakan dedak dia nak kata?

Tolonglah, jangan terus perbodoh pengundi Sungai Besar dan Kuala Kangsar, khususnya, dan rakyat jelata dengan cerita dongeng kononnya Mohd Najib pakar urus ekonomi yang dahulukan rakyat.

Bukan semua rakyat jahil dan boleh disuapkan dedak.

Amanah Can Still Pull It Off

Thus I am grateful that the same member of the Kedai Kopi Assembly (KKA), who penned the last article on the Hadi’s Bill, is willing to pen another article on the by-elections.

Here is his commentary:

“ln the contest for Kuala Kangsar, the BN picked Mastura Mohd Yazid, the widow of the late MP. It’s obvious that BN is trying to fish for sympathy votes. Whoever suggested this must have thought of Mrs Bandaranaike, the widow of the assassinated Ceylonese PM.

During the campaign, the widow became known as the crying widow and won. But Bandaranaike was a big name in Ceylonese politics and his widow went on to become the PM and her daughter later became the President.

With due respect to BN’s widow, she is neither a local person nor a member of the Umno divisional committee. Worse still she can’t campaign because she is in the iddah period. Others have to campaign for her.  It’s not clear if UMNO Bahagian was consulted and they agreed on her candidacy. Before this, the big mouth Nazri Aziz said UMNO must choose a local candidate but since the announcement, he has kept his mouth shut.

The candidate can’t weep but Zahid shed tears when he announced her as candidate. We will see if sympathy swings votes.  PAS has too puts up a woman – a local a medical doctor - Najihatussalehah Ahmad.

Amanah, which is contesting on behalf of Pakatan Harapan, is represented by a nuclear scientist, Dr Ahmad Termizi Ramli, who is the party divisional deputy chief.

ln Sungai Besar, PAS could not find a local member to  stand and imported a Hadi loyalist from Kapar, Klang. BN too has no suitable candidate and has to settle for a local state assemblyman. While PAS couldn’t find a local, BN couldn’t find an acceptable local candidate.

The UMNO divisional chief is not suitable as he is the leader of UMNO’s red shirt and no Chinese would vote for him. Would he sabotage his own party by asking his supporters not to come out to vote? Reports say his grilled fish business is not doing well and to survive, he has become close to the Najib’s wife.

Amanah, named a religious teacher Azhar Abdul Skukur who is the son of a former Umno MP. Amanah as a splinter of PAS has not been tested. If we study the history of splinter parties, it is very tough for Amanah more as since Amanah is being labelled by both Umno and PAS as DAP’s baby and DAP is seen as pushing Amanah to fight.

The PKR through Selangor Menteri Besar, Azmin Ali, tried to negotiate with PAS to give Sungai Besar to PKR and PAS concentrates on Kuala Kangsar.  Except for Hadi, the rest in PAS agreed. Many believed that Hadi had done a deal with Najib. The motion to move Hadi’s private member’s bill to amend the Kelantan lslamic Enactment is the result of co-operation between the two leaders. It was Najib’s attempt to divert attention from 1MDB and this RM2.6-billion “Arab donations”.

The last few days, the media has only been reporting on the threats from non-Muslims BN members to resign and those from Sarawak not supporting. They complained that the matter was never brought to cabinet or the BN for discussion. One Minister claimed that Zahid mentioned it in cabinet.

Was 1MDB brought for discussion in cabinet by the PM when it was established? Was debt of RM42 billion and now gone up to over RM50 billion discussed?  Why didn’t these cabinet Ministers question Najib?  Why didn’t they support Muhyiddin when he questioned Najib on 1MDB? Where is your credibility?

PAS has made it clear the motion is for the by-elections and Hadi thanked Putrajaya for it.  PAS’ youth leader said this would help PAS in the by-elections.  Hadi is now back as a ‘hero’ to PAS members.

In Kuala Kangsar, the four-way fight gives the BN an edge even when its candidate can’t campaign.  It’s not likely Chinese will vote PAS even if they are not happy with BN. The fight will be for Malay votes and Amanah will take away PAS votes and gives victory to BN. Even a 15-per cent swing against BN will not result in its defeat.

It is different with Sungai Besar. If Azmin had succeeded in persuading PAS not to contest, PKR has a good chance.  PKR is the government in Selangor and Azmin can campaign on behalf of the candidate and he will brings issues like 1MDB and donation and he knows the local issues.  PKR will have a better chance of winning.

PAS can’t produce a local candidate and Amanah is not prepared to put a heavyweight, the BN’s chances improve. Other than right candidates, the opposition has to realise that the campaign is in the month of Ramadan when the ceramahs could be held mostly at night and issues like the 1MDB crimes, the mismanagement of the economy and the perversion of the laws have to be explained in simplest possible language for the people to understand.

The opposition, because of disunity and always thinking of their vested interests, will find it very tough to beat BN. It’s time that they really sit down and agree that their priority is to beat BN and they can’t achieve that unless they are united.  If opposition parties learnt nothing from the recent Sarawak election, they will never succeed.

To the Umno, its members and supporters, the key word is “raya” (celebration). Plenty of “duit raya” is being given out.

Announcements have been made of more development. I wonder where the money is going to come from. Government has no money. It has cut scholarships and other social expenditures but the First Lady continues to travel in style.

Amanah has a hope of pulling it off for Pakatan Harapan but it has no money and machinery to match the BN. Its candidates have to be aggressive in the next faw days exposing Najib’s corruption and economic crimes involving 1MDB, Tabung Haji, Felda, the GST and many more if they hope to win.

To the PM Everything Is Misunderstanding

THE Kedai Kopi Assembly (KKA) has not been is session for a while. I had not been in a pink of health for sometime. When I got better, the “Deklarasi Rakyat” took a bit of my time. And for the next one month it is the Ramadhan fasting.

To all Muslim members of the KKA and debaters, readers and followers of this blog, let me extend my Ramadhan Kareem greeting.

Given the above circumstances, I am grateful that a regular participant of the assembly called me to ask if he could submit a letter on the Haji Hadi Private Member’s bill.

With a bit of editing, here is his letter:

“On the last day of Parliament, everybody was caught by surprise when the minister in charge of Parliament, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, moved a motion to give priority to a member’s bill.

“Normally priority is given to government’s bills. Members’ bills are unlikely to be given opportunity to be tabled.  This time it was exceptional.

“This shows how close UMNO and PAS have come together.  The Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Abdul Razak, did not inform the Barisan Nasional component parties that he was supporting the tabling of the Bill.

“They all complained that they were not told that the government has agreed with PAS to allow the bill to be tabled. They expressed anger as the matter was not discussed with them.

“I am sure this is not the only matter PM did not bring to the Cabinet.  Why are they so upset with the “Hudud” Bill when, in the case of 1Malaysia Development Berhad they never uttered a word in spite of questions being asked by the sacked Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and former Rural Development Minister, Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal?

“None of the non-Malay ministers ever raised anything about it.  The whole world read the reports about 1MDB and Malaysia had been raised to the second most corrupt country in the world and the ministers did not question PM on this.

 “Do they accept this description of Malaysia and it looks like it as they don’t read foreign newspaper reports let alone criticize the PM?

“But we only read what the bloggers wrote and the government’s response was all those reports in the blogs were lies and the same with reports in foreign papers.

“If all these reports were false, why PM didn’t sue? And why the ministers didn't question the PM on the RM2.6-billion donation?

 “When you questioned the PAS’ Bill, people are cynical and believe all these are orchestrated for cheap publicity and would soon blow away.

“PM’s response is that all these are misunderstanding.  It is not Hudud.  It is only increasing the Syariah sentence and the law is already in existence.

“The MCA counters by saying is it unconstitutional and goes against Article 8 of constitution. The Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said even if amendment is passed, it would not apply to non-Muslims.

“Many believe that this Private Member’s Bill is just for the by-elections in Sungai Besar and Kuala Kangsar and once PM explained to those who had threatened to resign, they would be happy to accept that it is all a misunderstanding and everybody lives happily ever after.

“Actually, if MCA Ministers resign, it makes no difference to the government and the country as after last elections, they stayed out of the government and in any event, many Chinese don’t support MCA.

“As far as the government is concerned, they are just misunderstandings. 1MDB is a misunderstanding. The donation is misunderstanding and when the Deputy Speaker of the Kedah State Legislative Assembly and his son allegedly roughed up a young man and his girlfriend, it was a misunderstanding.

“So why get excited about the motion?  It is just a misunderstanding and after by elections, all will be resolved and all go back to status quo.”

Calon Amanah Pilihan Deklarasi Rakyat

MUTAKHIR, 5 Jun – Sungai Besar, Selangor menyaksikan pertandingan tiga penjuru antara Azhar Abdul Shukur (Amanah/Pakatan Harapan), Dr Abdul Rani Osman (PAS) dan Budiman Mohd Zohdi (Umno/Barisan Nasional).
 
Kuala Kangsar, Perak melihat pertarungan empat penjuru antara Dr Ahmad Termizi Ramli (Amanah/PH), Dr Najihatussalehah Ahmad (PAS), Mastura Mohd Yazid (Umno/BN) dan Izat Bukhary Ismail Bukhary (Bebas).

POSTING ASAL

MEMBANDINGKAN matlamat Deklarasi Rakyat Selamatkan Malaysia dengan pencalonan Pilihan Raya Kecil Sungai Besar (SB) dan Kuala Kangsar (KK) maka jelas “calon” Deklarasi Rakyat adalah calon Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) yang mewakili Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Setakat ini, tiga buah parti telah mengumumkan calon untuk dua kerusi Parlimen itu – Pakatan Harapan/Amanah, PAS dan Barisan Nasional. Penamaan calon adalah pada 5 Jun dan pengundian 18 Jun.

Teruskan perjuangan rakyat. Tandatangani Deklarasi Rakyat buang Najib di sini.

Dua matlamat pokok Deklarasi Rakyat adalah penyingkiran (Datuk Seri Mappadulung Daeng Mattimung Karaeng Sanrobone), Mohd Najib Abdul Razak sebagai Perdana Menteri dan mereformasikan sistem pemerintahan negara.

Tanpa penyingkiran Mohd Najib, reformasi sistem pemerintahan negara mustahil boleh dilakukan.

Mengapa calon Amanah/PH adalah “calon” Deklarasi Rakyat? Sebab-sebabnya seperti berikut:

1.Umno/BN tidak melakukan apa-apa untuk menyingkir atau mendisiplinkan Mohd Najib. Sebaliknya bersekongkol dengan beliau dalam skandal 1MDB, “derma” RM2.6 bilion dan pengalihan haram RM42 juta duit SRC International Sdn Bhd;

2. Antara Umno dan PAS kita tak pasti lagi siapa lawan siapa. Besar kemungkinan mereka sudah berpakat di dalam kelambu.

3. Mohd Najib, Presiden PAS (Datuk Seri) Haji Abdul Hadi Awang dan Mursyidul Am PAS, (Datuk) Harun Din kini berahi dalam asmara dana tiga penjuru.

4. Abdul Hadi mengaku berunding dengan “kerajaan” mengenai pembentangan Rang Undang-Undang Bukan Kerajaan (Private Member’s Bill/PMB) untuk meminda Akta (Bidang Kuasa Jenayah) Mahkamah Syariah Kelantan. “Kerajaan” dalam konteks ini adalah Mohd Najib.

5. Keutamaan Mohd Najib bukan menjaga kepentingan dan perasaan ahli dan penyokong Umno, tetapi mengambil hati Abdul Hadi dan Harun kerana dihantui kemungkinan dipecat melalui akuan berkanun oleh ahli Dewan Rakyat.

6. Antara hilang undi dan hilang jawatan, Mohd Najib lebih rela memperjudikan undi PRK SB dan KK.

7. Mohd Najib percaya sebarang kemarahan pengundi Umno/BN kerana bersekongkol dengan Abdul Hadi dan Harun boleh diubati oleh penawar “cash is king.”

8. Abdul Hadi pula tergesa-gesa membentangkan PMB berkaitan Hudud dalam percubaan mengambil hati ahli dan penyokong PAS yang sedang digoda “imannya” oleh Amanah.

9. Umno/BN dan PAS sudah tidak pedulikan undi Cina dan India lagi. Mereka sudah mengaku kalah kepada DAP dan PH.

10. Peranan wakil Cina dan India dalam BN sudah diturunkan ke taraf penghibur lara saja. Apa yang mereka kata dan lakukan – termasuk ancaman keluar Barisan – tidak dipedulikan lagi. Mereka sekadar penggenap bilangan dan makan gaji.

Kesimpulannya, calon Amanah yang mewakili Pakatan Harapan yang terdiri daripada PKR, DAP dan Amanah adalah calon terbaik bagi penyokong Deklarasi Rakyat.

Peserta Deklarasi Rakyat boleh berkempen bagi pihak calon Amanah/PH.

Walaupun jalan di hadapan adalah mencabar bagi peserta dan penyokong Deklarasi Rakyat, namun apa yang mereka pamerkan sejak 4 Mac lalu memberi harapan baru kepada rakyat jelata yang ditindas akibat penyalahgunaan kuasa dan ketidakcekapan kerajaan Mohd Najib.
